Choosing Session Audio

Choosing the correct audio can be a bit challenging with a new platform. Below we will go into the 3 main audio options that are available to users on Onstream Meetings & Webinars

Hybrid Audio: All users, Moderator and Participants will see a pop-up when they enter your event. Participants will be able decide how they would rather listen to the audio during your event; by calling into a conference line or listening through their computer speakers. Moderators (speakers) will need to dial into the provided phone number and pass code as the VoIP microphone connection will be disabled. Our high quality conference line will stream directly through the event and will be recorded with the presentation.

VoIP Only: All users will be required to listen through their computer speakers/ headphones. Moderators will be able to connect their audio feed to a build in computer microphone, a webcam mic, or a USB headset. Participant will not have access to start and stop their audio and webcam feed freely, but may request to speak or be invited to speak by a moderator. The meetings tier will allow up to 3 simultaneous VoIP feeds, while the Webinars can can handle up to 8.

Phone Only: All users will be prompted to dial in to a conference line at the start of the event. Both moderators and Participants must do so in order to hear the speakers. This event will not cast the speaker audio through the Onstream Meetings & Webinars platform. However, audio will be recorded with the online event.

Changing your audio settings:

- Onstream Webinars: To change the audio setting for a particular session you may enter into the 'Advanced Options'. Across the top of the meeting scheduler you will see a tab, 'Audio & Video' click this and choose the session audio type

- Onstream Meetings and Changing Default: Since Onstream Meetings users do not have access to the 'Advanced Options' those users must change the default setting. To change your default audio setting, enter into the account settings by clicking your username in the top-right corner of the Dashboard. Once in the account settings, you will find the option to choose the default audio for you license.
